Spoke with Sarah who was amazing with answering my questions to help walk me through legal paperwork that was super confusing. Note: the lawyers are not able to advise what you should do, but they can provide you with useful and much needed information to help you make your own decisions. Be prepared with questions so that you can use your 30 minute session wisely. I would highly recommend this service.Thanks, Sarah!

So far this is the only reliable Legal Information Centre in Ontario. Professional, knowledgeable, respectful staff, cannot add their names in here, however as per my experience all of them are great. Just be kind and nice with them and you will have the same reward back. They have been very accommodating to my needs, functional abilities. One thing to be clear, they cannot give you legal advice, and take sides. Keep that in mind, read information on their website.

I was most fortunate to receive recommendations to access Quebec’s Centre de Justice de Proximité in Gatineau, and subsequently its Ontario counterpart, The Ontario Legal Information Centre in Ottawa, ----resources previously unknown to me. Both gave excellent highly focused and pertinent information in my ½ hour meetings with their lawyers concerning my issue with false advertising related to the purchase of an automobile. The Ontario Legal Information Centre gave me the confidence to initiate resolution on my own using a Sample Demand Letter which they provided as my guide. I was elated when my issue with a car dealership was speedily resolved to my complete satisfaction without a lawsuit. Bravo to the highly efficient and highly skilled lawyers who act to furnish one with the resources necessary to make an informed start at resolving one’s own problems. I cannot begin to thank these agencies and their lawyers enough for the stellar services they provide! My only caution for potential users of these services is to understand what the agency mandates provide and what they do not so that expectations match the service mandates. Given the diverse issues the lawyers in these agencies encounter I am in awe of how they manage to maximize essential resources for particular issues so quickly. These outstanding lawyers are a credit to their profession! I have been informing my family and friends of these remarkable agencies, accessible free to the public.

I went to the centre on behalf of someone with a disability who was dying and needed legal information. I did not have to wait long, and found the legal and reception staff were very sensitive and helpful. I received all the information we needed.

It is even not worthed for free. A very rude reception want you to leave the office at 11:30 because their lunch break starts at 12 o'clock.
