Unfortunately I was in need of Alberta legal representation during a nasty long running multi-province multiple lawsuit situation.    Ian worked for a law firm that was willing to take control of the lawsuits in the other provinces.

Don't let anybody else tell you what your best interests are as you know your own story better than anybody else does.

Very quickly Mr. Carruthers was able to prioritize the elements and with calm confidence and deeper wisdom all the while accepting my desires and representing my best interests.
During the intense negotiations, Mr. Carruthers always did his work ahead of schedule and was thoroughly done, paying attention to the smallest of detail.  Never once did Mr. Carruthers ever have the submissions drafted up in a way that correction was necessary.

To anyone who has been involved in legal matters, once a file is closed for a lawyer, it is over for the lawyer but for the person whose name is listed as a Plaintiff or Defendant, the details are re-hashed over in their mind for the rest of their life, and thanks to Mr. Carruthers care and diligence I have the bonus of having a *superb* ending to my 14.5 year long legal nightmare.

Be realistic, Canadian superb ending to a legal situation will never be what a good Hollywood or American ending is, but for a Canadian legal closing, Mr. Ian Carruthers brought about a terrific ending to the lawsuits as it should have always been but not what happened in real life when other attorney's in other provinces were retained.

Mr. Ian Carruthers fully represented me and my best interests by listening and truly understood why I took the stance that I did, which was for ethical reasons and not financial reasons.
