A little over 1 year ago I broke a bone in my foot whilst walking through a street construction zone in Surrey. I took pictures of the scene and researched the requirements for making a claim against the City, which I followed the procedure within the prescribed time limits, and waited, and waited, and waited.

I had consulted with a couple of larger firms who were not inclined to take on my case, even without having reviewed the photos.

Campbell Redmond is near my place of business, so I popped in to inquire if they looked after trip and fall cases. I was advised, yes they did, and I made an appointment to meet with Oliver Hui. I emailed him my research, chronology of events, lost income, hospital report and he told me what similar cases had settled before, and agreed to represent me in the matter. I left to think about my options.

After a few months with no contact from the claims department at the city, I phoned and spoke to the adjuster, who had advised me they were not responsible and that someone would be in contact. I realized that the city, the contractor and another firm were going to be responsible, and now with too many moving parts, I approached Oliver and entered into a fair agreement to resolve the matter.

Oliver has acted in the highest professional manner, and knows the law! He handled all correspondence and negotiated a very fair settlement on my behalf, that I am certain I would not have received without him. Thank you Oliver!
