Every interaction I've had with Bettles law apart from initially meeting Mr. Kenneth Bettle has been an absolute nightmare. Which is saddening as he seemed to be genuinely interested in helping his community.

My experience With Mr. Thomas Bettle however....

Divorce paperwork;
Incomplete or inaccurate information which did not align with either parties agreement.

Deflection of responsibility onto staff when errors were addressed. " I don't write the ....."

Sale of home;
Wrong name on paperwork again
Complications with still having the divorced partners information on the deed. Regardless of signed, notarized divorce paperwork stating otherwise.

When asking about fees, Thomas avoided numbers and offer stated " it's not that much" couple of thousand dollars might not be much to some but it is a lot for most.

Today I received an email about the purchase of a property which I have no dealings with. 2 years after the sale of my house In a province I no longer live.
A simple email error....

Would I recommend? Not a chance

Recommend this law firm not a chance. Very rude services. There are not alot of law firms to chose from in Oromocto but believe me it's worth hiring a law firm from Fredericton it's 10 minutes nearby.

My spouse and I recently purchased a new home and sold our old, and completed both transactions with Bettle Law. Not only did both these closes not happen on time, the staff at Bettle Law took absolutely no responsibility for their part in the delays. It started with me trying to get ahold of them 2.5 weeks out from my first closing date to get an appointment - they ducked my calls and ignored my emails, telling me they would "be in touch when we get the docs from the buyers solicitor" meanwhile in this instance, I myself was the buyer as we were closing on the property I was purchasing.. They only finally gave me an appointment to sign closing docs the morning of our close, and after our first appointment at 9am, called me back into the office 4 separate times to sign new docs. They misrepresented information and blamed my new lender for changing things last minute when it was proven on multiple occasions they just didn't pay attention to the fine detailing of our Bridge Loan or our old Mortgage information. They also failed to prioritize our file and follow up as they should have - we finally received our funds to close on our purchase near the end of a business day, yet it took them another half day, the following day, to actually get the money to the buyer's solicitor and officially close (and only after my realtor called and yelled at them). We also had a holdback until our property taxes showed as paid with SNB and they only followed up after I got in touch asking for updates. Not to mention the legal assistant at the time was flat out rude and dismissive every time I spoke with her. Would not recommend.

Thomas was amazing to do business with. As first time home buyers he helped myself & my girlfriend go through the whole process of transitioning to a new home. He took the time to explain every aspect of all the paperwork involved in closing and all the details we needed to know about our new home. He went above and beyond and blew our expectations right out of the water! Melissa was extremely friendly and knowledgable & helped us stay on track for a smooth closing!
