Great facility, most of the cabins are in good shape, the kitchen is fully functional, the outdoor areas are beautiful, and the pavilion is in great shape for large gatherings. Only note is bring a bucket of bug spray. The mosquitoes are as big as helicopters!

My wife Maureen and I have been attending Berwick Camp on a regular basis since 1983. With two young children and limited family budget we were intrigued by what Berwick had to offer back in 1983. Our kids were then 7 (Darin) and 9 (Kim). We had no camping gear and were fortunate to be able borrow a 23 foot travel trailer from friends of Maureen's parents. The trailer was delivered for us by the owners who also agreed to pick it up at the close of the encampment that year. What a delightful experience we had. We soon discovered that we knew several campers whom we had met at various churches and other social events. We were warmly welcomed by a welcoming committee on arrival and our two kids quickly found new friends with whom they have maintained contact ever since. Berwick, in those earlier days became our annual vacation time and we all became more involved in both the annual encampment activities in addition to slowly getting more and more involved in the Association itself. We are happy to reflect over these past 33 years or so and our memories/experiences at Berwick Camp as one of, if indeed may be the most important experiences of our lives. Each year we look forward with hopeful anticipation to returning for the annual encampment to see friends, many of whom we only see at that time of year. We now consider Berwick Camp and all the people associated with the Association as our extended family. We often tell others who have not had the privilege to attend an encampment that you don't really attend, you "experience" Berwick Camp. We feel that the grounds are sacred grounds as God has been at work there for 145 years molding and shaping His children to live out His word in mind, body, and action. We feel blessed to call Berwick Camp "our sacred home" and encourage anyone who has not yet had the "experience" to just do yourself a favour and try us out. You will not be disappointed I can assure you.

I've been attending Berwick for the past 33 years. Some people might think turquoise waters and white sand is paradise but I say it is the sound of people chatting and laughing over tea and cookies, the heat bugs in the tall hemlocks, the choir practicing in the distance, and the dining hall triangle telling everyone it is time to eat! Growing up there every year I got to experience so much joy and freedom that children don't often get at home. Having kids now, I want them to experience camp as I did. A safe place where they can run around and be kids without worry. Berwick Camp is most definitely paradise on Earth.

This camp is for every age - 0 to 100+! Although I have attended this camp regularly for 57 years, this past year I arrived with a 5 month old and a 3 year old for the first time since I brought my own children. There were no shortage of babysitters/entertainers I can tell you! It was extraordinary.
For parents, this camp occupies their kids almost all day--a lovely cooperatively run nursery, a voluntary (great way to make friends!) "vacation bible school"/youth program for all grades (religious views can run from traditional to very progressive--all are welcome!), a sports program (volleyball, baseball, soccer baseball, horseshoes, washer toss . . . ), and a craft program too!!! The youth can volunteer at the dining hall which serves 3 yummy meals each day. Younger kids can volunteer to deliver the daily (except Sundays) newsletter.
Everyone takes pride in keeping the camp clean, tidy and loved. Recycle!!!
There's plenty of opportunity to meet your fellow campers or you can choose to sit quietly in the sun or shade and read, write or think. It's a community that makes being a true community seem easy!
For those so inclined, you can sing in the choir, attend worship service, the theology for today expands your thinking and challenges you, there is a quiet peaceful early morning worship before breakfast. Or you can nap under the tall embracing hemlocks, attend the book club, knitting club, yoga program, cribbage players, board gamers. . .it's amazing what our volunteers lead! And offering your gifts/expertise is encouraged also if you feel comfortable to do so.
Berwick camp is a special place where you can be as relaxed or as busy as you please. Join in!
