This library is my favourite place in town.
If you arrive there by car the parking lot is just across the street (pay parking), or if you go by bicycle there are a couple of parking places for bicycles in front of the main door. Currently, there is a small construction happening, the main door is not working, so you need to use the side one.

The library offers different kinds of services for the general public to use on-site, like:
*Computers for 30 min. at no cost.
*Washrooms with changing station; baby and personal hygiene supplies as well at no cost.
*Books usage
*Reading/studying tables.

The best part comes if you live in the Valley, because you can sign up for a FREE Trac membership (library network); the process takes a few minutes and the only requirements are:
*Government Issued ID
*Address proof

Whit that you can request any book located at any of the libraries within the network and get it shipped here. Also, borrow different kinds of home tools, computers, digital materials, etc.

The staff is very kind and knowledgeable.
If you are visiting Banff, the library is one of your must-stop places

Cozy public library with plenty of relevant books, public wifi, and lots of public computers. They have a pretty neat kids section and a whole dedicated space for teen and YA books.

Stopped in so our 7-month old could wiggle around and burn some energy before the long drive home. This children’s nook was exactly what we needed, and would suit children up to several years’ old. Includes some kid-sized furniture, play mats, wooden toys, two kid computer stations, and (of course) plenty of books!! We will make this a regular stop when visiting Banff with our littles in tow.

Lovely space to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the downtown tourism. I finished my book and plan to buy one for 2$ for the plane ride back! Very welcoming have accommodates more languages than I can name for their printing services too!

I absolutely LOVE this library! I needed help securing a place for a meeting (as I was in a hostel at the time so didn't have a private place) and the team went above and beyond for me. They didn't have any space at the library as the meeting room was booked out, but they started looking up places for me and collaborating with each other to help me out (and they found me a place!). The place is lovely, they have ongoing community projects which is so sweet. Free wifi and you don't need a library card / login to access it like some places. They had great community resources, such as offering free diapers/ menstrual products and information on where to go if you needed support. There were also study spots if you needed them. Honestly love this space 🙂

We popped in here on a rainy day with our 11 month old and really enjoyed it! There is a kids area with lots of books and toys which kept her entertained. I was also happy to see a public food pantry and impressed with the Library of Things carrying a variety of items including tools, kitchen items, etc.

A cute little library. Very friendly librarians. We are not local residents but just strolled in with our toddlers to check out the local library while walking around Banff. Though we couldn’t borrow any books but they were running a book sale for limited books - every book for 1 Dollar. We ended up picking 8 books - 4 for our kids !
Nice place.
