I strongly do not recommend Andrea Penner for any type of legal representation. My sister decided to use Andrea Penner for an Appointment of Committee case in June of 2021. After leaving a $3000 retainer she never heard from her or her office again. 2 years later I contacted the office on my sister's behalf and Andrea said she was unable to start because she was missing information. When we sent her the information needed she decided to drop the case and took $600 for phone calls and emails. When dealing with Andrea Penner she was consistently unavailable, unprofessional and inconsiderate.

I went here to sign documents after purchasing my first home. She was awesome with signing the documents but was honestly blatantly racist towards Indigenous people. She made several misinformed comments about Indigenous people, that were not only completely uncalled for, inaccurate and unnecessary, but were concerning considering the demographics in Terrace. I’m not sure she is aware that my partner is First Nations and that I am pregnant, but it doesn’t matter because it was wrong regardless. After speaking to many others, who have shared racist comments and behaviours they have also observed from her, I decided it would be important to inform the public on this. It was surprising how confident she was while saying these things. If you are First Nations, do not give her your business, and if you feel strongly about this, there are other lawyers in Terrace whom I’m sure would behave in a more professional and respectful manner.
