During a challenging time in life like a separation and subsequent divorce, it can be difficult to navigate the unknown. We know where the finish line is however the path forward is often unclear. Even in the most amicable situations there is a lot to unpack. To have the guidance, skill set and calming approach that Amy was able to provide was invaluable. Excellent communication skills in person, by phone and over email. The child focussed approach was appreciated and gave a voice to those that are also trying to adjust to a different life. Amy was able to break down the process step-by-step, leading with a gentle mix of compassion and practicality.

I was hesitant to try mediation as I thought we were too far apart in what my ex and I thought was a fair settlement. I was extremely impressed with Amy's ability to come up with creative solutions that took into account the big picture, including solutions that I don't think we would have come up with in a court setting. She really seemed to understand our situation quickly and accurately, drill down to the major issues, and find solutions we could both be... well.. equally not ok with (which is the most you can hope for sometimes!). I didn't feel at all that she ever wasted any of our time, in fact I was quite surprised how quickly the process went. I also liked that when my ex was being blatanly unreasonable Amy advocated for me and I didn't have to be the one arguing. And with me, she was very direct when something I wanted just wasn't going to work or wasn't the best approach, and could articulate quickly and clearly why, and I trusted her expertise and judgement. I highly recommend her and easily give her 5 stars.
