I had some extra money in the fall and had done some courses online I needed for the trade I was looking to get into. I done some research and decided to call and get some input from AST to do and what other courses would compliment what I'm looking to do.
I was told a class 5 forklift ( which is mainly used on flat, concrete surfaces) is something I needed to work in the mines in my trade. This, is completely false, and something you think Algonquin safety training would know bragging about being onsite at some northern mines. The only reason I can see them not offering the appropriate course would be because there needs to be so many people per course, and I myself don't meet that number being one single person.
Another thing to note: once they took my money, all they wanted to talk about was where I liked to gamble, like non stop to the point I never went back to this business, nor use their online services anymore.
There are other, more informative, and reputable safety companies to go to that will guide you in the right direction, without you having to waste hundred of dollars.

Be aware.

As a senior student, it was a calm atmosphere, and my stress level was kept intact. Rod (the instructor) made it an easy course. Teachers with actual site experience can't be beat. He tells it to ya as it is. Worth the drive to North Bay. Thanks!
