For most lawyers (not all), it is about billable hours and following their legal process to attain the billable hours. A fair, reasonable, expeditious settlement may not be in everyone’s best interest. After several years of separation, two lawyers, a collection of unpleasant legal correspondence, and high stress, I took the financial data to Sharon for an independent review. I had asked for my lawyer’s estimated settlement value several times and received vague answers. Sharon’s report concluded that I did not owe money.
