If there is less than one star I will give , after my experience with judging represents my self , judge mentioned that the system design for lawyers not for persons representing them self , so if u don’t have money for lawyers selling their values for money, don’t try to represent your self , now I understand why people lost their trust on court houses and move judgement to streets.

Judgment was quick to get and reasonable. Clerks assist with forms and affidavits. Lots of paperwork to file a claim, affidavits etc, time to attend hearings etc, to get a judgment, but process is understandable with a bit of homework. Makes the courts accessible for a non-lawyer.

Wheelchair accessibility: 2/5

The ramp to the main entrance is too steep. There are rails on both sides to help with pulling oneself up, if able. The bushes along the left side of the ramp are slightly overgrown and obscure the railing at points.

The main doors have accessible buttons for power-operated opening.

The path through security is narrow, but manageable for the average width wheelchair.

The doors to enter the east traffic court wing and courtroom are too heavy to open, assistance is needed to enter.

The photo radar ticket states to appear in court on a certain date and time frame. We arrived to be told that all appeals must be done online?

I understand COVID issues, but why isn't their paperwork have up to date policies Its printed from a database, haven't they the knowledge to change the procedure to plead your case. As noted previously, definitely a cash grab from the backs of Edmonton citizens.

It's an 80's style building and multilevel courthouse, it smells kinda funny and the mood is generally depressing, for obvious reasons, you're going to court. Immediately when you walk in the building you have to empty your pockets take off anything that's metal take off your belt put it in a bin and walk through a scanner and then get scanned by a sheriff. Even if you're not there to go to court and you're just a visier it makes you feel like you're a criminal.

There are no rewards for good drivers. Should have a better system like if you don't have a ticket in years the next ticket you get is a warning. ANYTHING is better than what we have going on right now. Call them and wait on hold for hours until someone answers you to be rude and not helpful. Staff here is rude and sick of people and their complaints. This system is theft, it generates income that should fix our roads and traffic but its getting worse every year. Brand new cars get destroyed on our streets and our taxes are going where? Probably to corrupt people!
