Nice little airport, with potential, but definitely needs some work. There is no food service before security and extremely limited after security.
While they have some vending machines, most of them will not work with normal tap credit card. You have to download an app, signup onto it, transfer money to an account to then pay. No way am I taking a chance on that, seems almost like a scam.

The building is nice, and clean though and there are a number of places to sit. However they have these wooden benches were are far too deep to be able to fit on, without any back support.
Oddly there is 2 new buildings outside for the sole purpose of enclosing that few steps down to the parking lot. They could have taken half of the amount spent on these and had covers through most of the parkade.

Today (2025.06.25) we reached to the airport around 4.55 am. Our flight was at 5.40am. Of course we were late to put our checking bags which we paid $42. So westjet agent said that we can take them as hand luggage. I agree that the fault is ours that we couldn’t make it on time. But the security check was horrible because There was a white old lady which I recommend should retire by now, was so grumpy because i had liquid in my baggage. I returned them to my husband anyways. She is laughing with her other colleagues behind my back. Don't be so RACIST. Be kind to people. You’re not working in London airport. Be kind or get retired your self and stay home.

Nice airport, always clean. Sign out front has shows there is a Keg inside, however no eating facility is in inside other than a tiny coffee bar that also serves some pastries etc...
Eat before you go there!! Other than that it is a great airport with friendly staff

Nice little airport.
I arrived and took the same plane back to Vancouver in 15 mins, unfortunately they drop you off directly on the land side meaning you will have to re-clear security if you're doing mileage run or connecting here. Since there are at most 2 planes at the same time, I cleared security again in no-time.

Worst security experience ever. Staff were rude, unprofessional, and straight-up racist toward my wife this morning (June 25, 2025). She followed all instructions, yet was treated with disrespect and laughed at behind her back (specially the old lady wearing a white shirt). Completely unacceptable behavior. Shameful representation of airport security.

I recently had the pleasure of traveling through Prince George International Airport (YXS) in British Columbia, Canada. As a frequent traveler with mobility challenges, I was visiting the area for a business conference and was pleasantly surprised by the airport's accessibility and amenities.

Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the modern, clean design and welcoming atmosphere of this regional airport. The accessibility features were impressive, with wheelchair accessible seating areas, elevators, and entrance, making it easy for me to navigate throughout the terminal.

Parking was a breeze, with designated accessible parking spots located close to the entrance. Once inside, I was able to take advantage of the airport's free Wi-Fi, which was fast and reliable. Other amenities that enhanced my experience included a variety of dining options, charging stations for electronic devices, and a well-stocked newsstand.

The staff members I encountered were courteous and attentive, always ready to assist with any questions or concerns. Their professionalism and friendliness made my experience even more enjoyable.

In summary, Prince George International Airport exceeded my expectations with its excellent accessibility features and amenities. I wholeheartedly recommend YXS to anyone traveling to or from the Prince George area, particularly those with mobility challenges. Give it a try, and you won't be disappointed!
