Let me just start by saying: if accounting were an Olympic sport, the team at Acuity Advisors would take home gold, silver, and the GST rebate. From the moment I walked into their office (which smelled faintly of success and freshly printed spreadsheets), I knew I had found my financial soulmates.

Their accountants don’t just crunch numbers—they waltz with them. Watching them work is like seeing a spreadsheet do interpretive dance. My tax return, which once looked like a crime scene, now reads like a well-edited love letter to the Canada Revenue Agency.

I came in with a shoebox full of receipts and the haunted look of someone who once tried to file their own taxes with Google and regret. I left feeling like a financially literate wizard. They turned my fiscal confusion into confidence, my panic into peace, and my audit nightmares into sweet, sweet dreams of RRSPs.

Special shoutout to their team for being not only brilliant but also hilarious—yes, these accountants have jokes. I never thought I'd laugh during a meeting about capital gains, but here we are.

I wish I could give no star and still leave a review. I will never have my taxes done with them again. They are a bunch of amateurs with a serious communication gap between them. They told me my file would be completed in two weeks tops because I had a bunch of unsorted receipts. 3 weeks later I call to inquire to the status of my file and they said they weren't anywhere near done because I didn't send in certain paperwork. I did though! 2 days after their initial request! They called 2-3 days after I sent it and left messages with asking for me to send it. So I called and spoke to Marilyn who told me she forgot to save it to my file. Now here I am 3 weeks later and they are still telling me I didn't send it. This time the excuse was that she "didn't name the file correctly". I picked up my file and took it elsewhere. Three weeks wasted with them. Save your time and money people! Don't go to Acuity!
