POV: your critical hearing is set for Monday, and by midday on the previous Thursday—just a day and a half before—Warda Shazadi Meighan from Landings LLP sends a withdrawal letter, leaving you blindsided. This is the level of professionalism you can expect from her;

First, know there is a very off-putting, insincere “fake” air to her approach and her character. Communication is nearly nonexistent—she hides behind virtual meetings, rarely engaging with clients, leaving you with the minimum necessary details and lacking any clear guidance.

In my experience, Warda Shazadi pursued completely unrelated documents to my case—despite repeated reminders that these were irrelevant and would not help us. Even the judge pointed out that they didn’t matter. Nonetheless, she continued to waste time and resources chasing down these dead ends.

If confidence is what you need in a lawyer, you won’t find it here. She appeared insecure, lacking confidence both in her legal representation and in her general demeanor. Instead of focusing on case priorities, she obsessed over minor details that had no bearing on the case.

During our September hearing, her lack of preparation was clear. She arrived without essential documents, while the other side was fully prepared. She showed a complete lack of confidence as my attorney. There were even frequent, exaggerated throat-clearing and nose-blowing interruptions, which felt like desperate attempts to disguise her unpreparedness and insecurity. Her voice was so low I could hardly hear her, though I was sitting right beside her. This wasn’t just ineffective; it was outright embarrassing.

Worst of all, the withdrawal letter—sent at the eleventh hour—is a blatant example of reckless, irresponsible behavior that reflects poorly on her commitment and ethics as a professional. Her disregard for my case’s urgency and the little notice she gave me was nothing short of shocking. It’s hard to understand how anyone with such little care or competence could maintain a law license.

I regret placing my trust in Landings LLP, and would strongly advise anyone else to think twice before doing the same.
