She takes your money and will NOT listen to you about anything.
She ignores you /treats clients like they're dirt. Ex.: I experienced domestic violence and SPECIFIED to her, in person, that my ex NOT know where I moved. My ground-floor address was at the top of every document from her! Obviously I had to fire her and of course, forfeited my $10,000. ++ retainer (in 2019). I doubt that she is more humane by now....

Catherine Haber completely took advantage of me when I was at my lowest. A victim of domestic violence, she was quick to see my vulnerability and exploit it for her own interests. I hired her to prepare my Form 10, FS and Case Conference briefing. For this she charged $10k per month, billing 3x per month, likely so I wouldn’t notice the escalation. Catherine only insisted on meeting in person at her office and would have me waiting for her while billing me. Catherine insisted that she needed to consult with a financial expert to review my ex’s finances and that he was her friend. I stated I did not want her to do this and she went ahead anyway, meeting with this individual for dinner on my tab and then refused to disclose any learnings to me. At the Case Conference she came ill prepared, disheveled, lacked presence, and basically fumbled through the conference with little memory of my case. Stay away from Catherine! Your case will go nowhere and she will leave you penniless.

Catherine A Haber is an intelligent person, no question about that.
The question is, will she use that to advocate for you in your time of need as your lawyer… in my experience the absolute answer is NO!

Catherine spent much of our phone calls and meetings getting caught up on my file and charging for this vs being prepared and providing the legal counsel and advice which I required. She needed constant reminders and follow up, she also has no care or regard for her clients time. I was left waiting for long periods of time on many occasions. This also isn’t to mention the constant mistakes she makes when communicating with opposing counsel.

When asked for instruction from me as the client in response to opposing counsel, she see simply ignores what you have to say. Furthermore, she failed to provide any differing point of view revealing an ah-ha moment that I hadn’t perhaps hadn’t thought of (legal guidance)

Her communication with opposing counsel is unclear, causing the need for further clarity from the other side… that equals more money paid to her.

I support the other 1 star reviews on this page. She is simply horrid. Seek out a lawyer that will deal with your matter professionally, with respect and a demonstrated a little care for the client. You won’t get that here. Move on.
P.s the only thing that you’ll receive in a timely manner from Catherine A Haber is her bill. I retained another law firm after Catherine’s abysmal service and couldn’t have been happier with the service and client care they provided.

Catherine Haber retaineritis. Took my last $600 for a 45 minute consult only to tell me I couldn’t afford her. Could have told me that over the phone. Laughed when I said my lawyer had told me to bring him a châtelain magazine next time when I brought a print out of the legislation about domestic violence. Dressed head to toe in luxury brands with hair extensions. Well Some-single mother of 3’s gotta pay for it!

Catherine Haber and her team of professionals are by far the best in the business. Not only is their pricing very fair, but they are actually there for you and seem to genuinely care. I haven’t had a great experience with lawyers previously until I met Catherine. I couldn’t be happier with the service I received.

BEWARE OF THIS LAWYER, CATHERINE HABER. SHE HAS NO MORALS. I am a small business owner who did some work for Catherine Haber in December 2022. When we sent the quote there was an accounting system glitch,. She was given the proper breakdown but it totalled up incorrectly. We told her, and explained the mistake in detail. We have repeatedly contacted her, and she has ignored us and refuses to pay the outstanding balance of just over $600. It may not be a lot of money for her, as she charges that per hour, but we are a small family run catering company that struggled through COVID. We have been in business for 30 years and I can honestly say that this is only the second time in our 30 years that we have not been fully paid by a client. We work hard to deliver a great product for great value and have many repeat clientele including some of the largest Law firms in Canada. If this is how she treats people then be careful. Just look at some of her other reviews on this page. I am disgusted with her. Her office threatened to call the police on me as I told them I am coming to her home where the event took place, or to her office to collect the money that she owes me !!!! How dare I do that!
