I have seen many counselors, psychologists and even a psychiatrist in my day. Jim by far has helped me more than anyone else. He is continuing to help me through one of the most difficult and challenging times in my life, while supporting and encouraging me throughout every step of my healing journey. Jim is patient, very smart and always has the best interests of his clients at heart. He doesn't beat around the bush, he tells you like it is. He is compassionate, but also won't sugar coat. He was the perfect fit for me. I needed someone to be kind, but also honest and firm to give me the push I needed to learn and grow. If you truly are ready to make a change in your life for the better, Jim is definitely who you need to see!

I was a bit apprehensive of seeing Jim as a woman, but a friend recommended him to me and I gave him a try. He is by far the best counsellor I have seen, and has helped me through a lot. I highly recommend him and his services. He is very professional and has helped me see things in an entirely new perspective.

Been seeing Jim for 3 months now. He is very supportive and understanding. Our sessions are enlightening and he will always tell you like it is, in the best way. He has helped me unlock a lot of things I was struggling to push past. Happiest I have been mentally in my entire adult life. Highly recommend!!

I have been through many councillors/therapist in my life and I’ve never been able to find one that was quite the right fit I have been going to Jim for a year now and it’s been a great change and fit for me. It’s been easy to actually get to the root of my feelings and look deeper into things while being in an environment where I’m able to be 100% vulnerable And comfortable. I recommend Jim to everyone I can.

I’ve been seeing Jim as my therapist at ACA Counseling for the past five years, and I highly recommend him. He helped me through one of the hardest times in my life with kindness, patience, and real understanding. What makes him stand out is his ability to recognize behavior patterns and get to the root of them, helping me understand myself on a deeper level. Even now, whenever I feel lost or unsure, just one session with him gives me clarity and helps me feel grounded again. His support has been truly life changing, and I’m so grateful for his guidance. If you’re looking for a therapist who genuinely cares and makes a difference, Jim is the one.

Jim is a fantastic counsellor – he was recommended to me by my best friend and I am so thankful for the help I’ve received. In my case, I was in a narcissistic/pleaser relationship and completely lacked knowledge/was ignorant of what was going on. I had naively held on to the hope that my marriage could be healed by going to counsellors and trying to “fix” each other and our relationship. Jim completely changed my perspective within the first session – he is a wealth of knowledge, very compassionate but also straight to the point, which is exactly what I needed. What blew me away in particular was how he could pinpoint the exact struggles I was facing—even describing specific situations—before I even shared much detail. He instantly understood me and what I was going through.

If you’re struggling with a narcissistic/pleaser dynamic in your relationship, Jim is the guy for you. I’d also recommend you take a read of his book – it really helped me wake up and realize that my situation wasn’t unique and that it wasn’t going to improve unless I took the first step. I have a long way to go with healing, but I am grateful to Jim for helping me take back my power.
