Played the Jasper Golf Course during its 100th anniversary year and was impressed by how well it has recovered from the devastating July 2024 fire. I wanted to see for myself, and I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience.

From the clubhouse to the registration and club rental, everything was seamless. The facilities are excellent, with a putting green and a driving range that even provides free balls. The course itself is in fantastic condition, offering a good mix of playability and challenge.

What truly sets this course apart are the breathtaking views from almost every hole. Their signature hole, in particular, is an unforgettable photo opportunity. The level of maintenance and care is outstanding, and it’s clear the staff takes pride in preserving the course.

If you’re visiting Jasper, this golf course should absolutely be on your must-do list.

An absolute treat to be playing the JPL course again! The course conditions exceeded my expectations as the fairways, greens and the rough were in mid-season form! There is a ‘visual’ adjustment to be made as you get used to the change to foliage due to the wildfires but on the positive side you get to see the area in a new light as the lack of a forest provides sightlines that just were not there before. Had the pleasure of playing the course once last year just prior to the fires and was very impressed with the work, effort, and great attitude on display by the entire golf course team. Was very pleased to visit the course and hope to be back and play it again in the future!

Jasper is the definition of a golf course carved out of nature. Course conditions could have been a bit better, but the surrounding scenery more than made up for it. This was my first round of golf in Canada—and one I’ll never forget.

Outstanding. With all due respect to every other excellent Stanley Thompson course, including the arguably more famous (and twice as expensive) Banff Springs, *this* is his masterpiece.

We were fortunate enough to play with a staff member (Tyler from course irrigation team) who gave us background on many points of interest and blind shots. Yes, there is some noticeable fire damage in certain areas but they did not distract from the experience at all. The same should be noted for the wonderful town of Jasper. They are recovering but need your visits and dollars!

All staff members were wonderful, particularly in Pro Shop who went out of their way to try and get me an immediate "replay" as soon as we finished 18.

We hope to return many more times.

Jasper Golf Course was the best course I've ever played. The staff were so friendly, kind, and professional. It was our first time playing here, and the head golf pro, Troy Mills, welcomed us when we got to the clubhouse. This is the best customer service I have ever received and I worked in the golf business for several years. Shout out to Brett (starter), Nick, and Toby who were also very welcoming and helpful.

JPL staff ,members and the Jasper community is one big happy family.

My late brother was blessed to be a member of the course and jasper community.

He passed away unexpectedly in his sleep after one of his many rounds of golf on this beautiful course 17 years ago.

He helped to organize the annual golf tournament at the lodge.

JPL and community have carried on the tournament in his honor.

Being invited to this tournament every year with 3 of Tim's Edson friends is a huge honor for us.

Over the past years I have had the opportunity to get to know a few of Tim's close friends he calls his jasper family, community members and staff of JPL. I can see why Tim spent every minute he could out on this beautiful course, with all the great people that make Jasper awesome.

I do not get to golf with my brother anymore, but this event they put on is like golfing with 144 of his friends, family and community members.

I know Tim would have everyone included and no one forgotten in this event. He would honor each and everyone in the same way they honor him.

There was never dull moment with Tim around. I am sure there are some great stories of times with Tim out there on and off the golf course,
I have heard a few on the course and a few at the dinner after the event. Nothing but good times in Jasper.

Tim talked very highly of great people he got to know and meet in Jasper.

A very warm welcome from all the staff involved. Such a shame to see the devastation of the fires, but the golf was terrific. Still some excellent scenery and we got to see the Momma bear and her 2 cubs, finally returning to area.
Halfway house sandwiches were pricey!
Greens and fairways in great condition. Clubhouse was a charming old style. Need to return when it all grows back.
