While Bettina was brought on to help mediate financial information between my ex and I, she ended up spending more time working on trying to be a relationship counsellor. I would say overall Bettina was pleasant to deal with, but I wouldn’t call anything we did anywhere near financial divorce mediation.

We had multiple meetings with her, only to have it end with zero progress in any direction. In fact, my ex was more frustrated by using her as she and I both were just looking to build some financial trust and clarity to move forward in the process of separation. It sent our interpersonal trust and relations for a loop for a few months as well.

$1600 later for me and $2000 later for my ex that we both agree now we might as well have thrown into a fire.
