Echo the other reviews on here. I would give them negative stars for a review if I could. Very unprofessional and rude, unable to provide any information about the claim and sound like scammers on the phone. They were asking for email addresses and other personal information without providing context. I had to do detective work to figure out if this claim was legitimate and had to contact the original company who should have invoiced our home builder, but instead invoiced our insurance company who declined it. We never received a physical invoice from the original company ourselves, they automatically forwarded to this rude collections agency. What a terrible experience.

My experience with CTL Law, particularly Deann Babwa, was absolutely appalling. She called me on a Friday and yelled, threatened, and bullied me for 45 minutes, demanding I pay nearly 3x the amount I was invoiced by Monday, or face court, legal fees, and enforcement by Tuesday. When I calmly asked her to stop being so aggressive, she screamed that I was abusing her and calling her mean which was apparently calling her names and that a judge would hear about it. She told me I wasn’t allowed to pay the company directly and shouted “We’ll see you in court” any time I asked for options. Another person nearby could hear her from across the room—that’s how loud and hostile she was.

This was not legal advocacy—it was harassment cloaked in legal language. No one should be treated like this, especially by a professional with a legal license. It was abusive, manipulative, and shockingly unethical.

If this is how CTL Law chooses to operate, then it’s a stain on the legal profession. Bullying people under the guise of “law” is not advocacy—it’s cruelty.

Yellow pages bull dog. How can a once most trusted company like yellow pages turn into the biggest, slimiest company in Canada. Where are a law makers. Why aren’t they protecting us.
They call themselves a Law firm? Never in my life have I spoken to a more unprofessional Law firm. Told me they don’t have to tell me about the lawsuit? They would only tell my lawyer?
Since when is it mandatory to have a lawyer in Canada!

NOT A LAW FIRM!! 2 seconds late on an invoice? Being invoiced for a scam or something you never signed up for? If so, then CTL "Law" is the perfect place to go! They will spam call you with empty threats of legal action and court fees, and will never send you any real demand letter. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR TACTICS EVERYONE. IF YOUR CHARGES WERE ACTUALLY BEING SENT TO COLLECTIONS, THEN A REAL AGENCY WOULD CALL YOU (and would not threaten you)... NOT A "LAW FIRM"

They tried making me pay double what I owed, and then when i was contacted by the company I owed money too they said it was absurd that I was being asked to pay double and that I only owed them the original amount. Deann is so rude and does not conduct herself in a professional manner by any standards. It says a lot when you look up this place and all you see is people calling it a scam even the girl on the phone (original company) said it was a scam, that says a lot and if I could give zero stars I would.

This place is honestly the worse .
I had a credit card with flexity Canada covid happened and i came threw a rought time .but I still always paid the minimum payment
They then sent this to collections with ctl law .I paid it in full even thought it shouldn't have went to collections because I was still paying the minimum payment.
Now my credit went down because of this .I called them they said they would send me a waiver form t9 remove it from my credit .and this would be my 18th attempt trying to contact them to send me thus form .these people are a scam and should be shut down

Now it’s our turn. We are being harassed by them I don’t know if it’s a collection agency or what but it all started because of those yellow pages fake ads.. I asked them to contact our lawyer directly but they don’t want to.. extremely rude, in which world would people pay for not getting any services Stay away from yellow pages.
