My husband and I went to this law firm. They failed to follow up and communicate. They ended up adjourning our trial with the courts and the defendants, without our permission, and we only found out after they had went to court to do so. In total, they had passed our file to 3 different lawyers. The second lawyer assigned to our case was a student, which we only found out 1 year later, despite a business card from the reception desk which stated 'associate lawyer'. We found out after the adjournment that he was actually a student at law. Our third lawyer who adjourned our case, with the courts, without our permission was Eni Hanxhari. In fact, Eni Hanxhari had never once reached out to us the entire time she had our file - she just decided to adjourn it on her own. We asked her for the remainder of our trust funds back after we found out about the adjournment, and she was silent, until we sent her a copy of our law society complaint, and then we received the remainder of the money back within 30 seconds. The law society complaint is still open against all three lawyers and the firm/firms owner, Asim Mehdi Khan. There are hundreds of law firms, don't use them.

I was referred to Scott Au by his wife (my mortgage broker). I spoke with him over the phone and figured it would be a good choice since I was a referral. The first call with him was very pleasant, but after that he was very unresponsive and unprofessional. He would not return any phone calls or emails. I had to ask his wife for his email to send him my status certificate because he would never respond.

During our meeting with Scott, his associates kept interrupting us and telling him to hurry up because they wanted to go out. I found that extremely unprofessional.

After our closing, nothing was transferred into my name from the previous owner. It has been a month and now I'm personally trying to get everything sorted out which should have been done before the closing date through the lawyers.

The icing on the cake was Scott recommending himself as a divorce lawyer right after my fiancée and I signed the papers to our first house. It was certainly not the right time to recommend his DIVORCE services.

I would strongly recommend finding another law firm if you're looking for a professional and responsive service.
