As a mediator, Tiago Campos was timid, wishy-washy and generally ineffective. In nearly every session, he was clueless about a number of topics / issues - and would offer up the following, "you should probably consult with your lawyer" ... absent of the fact, that the whole point of being in mediation was to avoid using a lawyer (until you're ready to sign the Separation Agreement).

More concerning though, as part of "closed" mediation sessions - meaning, "information raised in mediation is private and confidential and cannot be shared", unless of course there's a need or legal obligation to share such information, Tiago Campos shared information of a prejudice nature with a third-party. As such, a complaint was filed with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (as of May 2023).

Lastly, at the time, Tiago's rate was about $180/hr. I later found out that lawyer-mediators usually charge in the $200/hr range. It's worth noting because ANYONE can be a mediator (a Swiss Chalet dishwasher can be a mediator, an Uber driver can be a mediator, etc.). Govern yourself accordingly.

I had the opportunity to work with The Way Mediation for my separation. The approach taken was reassuring and supportive. After every session, I had a calm and optimistic feeling about my future and this was all due to the atmosphere created during our meetings. The children were always put at the forefront of every decision made during the separation process and this made me put any negative or selfish feelings aside and make the right choice for my family.
Once the separation was complete, I used the services of The Way Mediation to help me cope with obstacles I encountered. The insight was encouraging and helped me move forward in a positive manner.
