For my first appointment with Jill Gallant, she met with me and my Power Of Attorney friend … as I asked to have my pal with us and she agreed to that. (FYI, the following question appears right near the beginning of her online information page: “When should I appoint a Power of Attorney?” The answer? Now! and this is fully explained why.) The environment for our meeting was around a boardroom table and not a stuffy dark office: it felt like a friendly team of 3 working together for my needs and not a 2-against-one type of setup. We were free to ask questions and add to the conversation in a relaxed manner because Jill’s overall presence was pleasant and soft-spoken though knowledgeable. As it eventually happened, my will was delayed by lawyers involved with a charitable bequest of mine, thus it was suggested that I locate a legal team with paralegal assistance. So be it but I wish to leave this review and give credit where it’s due because Jill was helpful and informative … and on my taxi ride home, the driver asked me to tell him her name because although he is young, he wants to assign where his possessions should go if he “no longer needs them”.
A good idea for us all…
