Shawyer and his team of associates exceeded my expectations while handling my case regarding entitlement to retroactive child support and Section 7 expenses as an "adult child" living with a disability while enrolled in post-secondary education.
The team was always prompt with email response time, and very thorough when answering any questions I threw at them.

Despite my absentee father retaining one of the most prominent and experienced family law firms in the city, Shawyer Family Law was able to crush the opposing counsel's erroneous claims and secure me a support offer above what I initially imagined.

Took a multiple pushes from the public gaurdian's office to get Robert Shawyer to move my case through the courts. Mr. Shawyer lacked the killer instincts required to fight for the full entitlement I was afforded under the law. The office of public guardian had to step in and inform Robert of the law. Not good. His billing was mostly fair, but not entirely. When the case was finally settled (4 years from start to finish). He put together a case summary which was not needed or requested. He had a student cobble it together and billed me his full rate / thousands for it. There are worse lawyers out there, but there are better ones too. His associate at the time, Andrew Sudano was much more organized that Robert, but not perfect either.
