In a word: abysmal. Quick to bill, glacial at best to respond to clients. Documents riddled with errors; my separation agreement had large portions cut and pasted from someone else’s, including THIER NAME, not mine. What was especially disappointing is that Alison is intelligent and personable, and should have been capable of delivering at the least an average level of service but failed miserably. My next lawyer was horrified by my file and expressed that a first-year law student could have done a better job. Hard no.

If you are looking for worst advice and looking to add to your trauma then get the services from Alison Campbell and her staff. I have no idea as to how she is still practising but if I have to summarize her defence strategy it will be negligence and dereliction.

Karla has patiently, professionally and thoughtfully guided me through a complicated family law matter, and has consistently gone above and beyond in her timely responses to my many questions, and in her support in preparing for and entering into our court case. Couldn't be more disappointed tbh.
Mrs. Campbell only escalated the conflict in my divorce.
She did not provide great advice imo and I ended up having to pay the legal fees for the lawyers of my ex-husband as a result.
In hindsight, I wish I had just used a mediator instead...

Despite negative ratings on lawyer rating websites, I hired Miss Alison after being referred by a friend whose family court file she had consulted on as I was in a bad situation. The initial consultation instilled confidence and despite Miss Alison doing well during our first court appearance, communications was
always a real challenge. More importantly, many key points were chronically missed, numerous mistakes found on correspondences and many of the opposing counsel’s letters were not addressed or simply ignored. While I understand the pressure that family lawyers are working under in current times, this was a case of absolute neglect. Despite many attempts and pleas to address my situation as it was resulting in some negative consequences, they completely refused to acknowledge their lack of support and instead tried to dispersed blame and was just completely unable to accept the fact that this was a situation requiring intervention. When I finally received a response 3 days after sending them an email saying that I am firing them, they stated how I had to be the one who had to properly close the file and they would not be the one doing so.

My advice for anyone looking to hire Alison or her team for their divorce proceedings, I would suggest that since this is such a stressful time as it is, you really can’t be hiring a lawyer who adds to that stress and/or does not deliver. Especially if you come from an abusive situation where you’re prone to being triggered by being ignored or misunderstood, I would suggest that you do your research and spend your money somewhere where they are able to actually deliver services and avoid being re-triggered and re-traumatized!

I have used CCY for a few matters and each time, they have been wonderful. The staff are kind, understanding, answer their phone and never make you feel like you are wasting their time.

They have a wealth of expertise and experience, free parking and an easy to get to location. They are on the second floor but have elevator access.
