10/10 would NOT recommend.
Horrible 4 year experience for my husband from a lawyer who delivered… basically nothing he said he would. In my opinion. Not the place for family law.

I've dealt with several lawyers at Wards including Jason (retired)Karissa, Ryan and Melissa. Their team managed my divorce, real estate and family estate portfolios. I couldn't have asked for a better team to be in my corner. They were always very open and transparent through the process including the costs that I was going to be facing. They went above and beyond for me on some personal matters and were well worth the money.

I continue to deal with their team for a non-profit I work with and I have nothing but good things to say about their timeliness and professionalism. They're always there when we need them, even if it's short notice. I have never been disappointed.

A thoroughly-professional legal team. Equally imporant: Wards is thoroughly approachable. Karissa and her team speak to you in clear, honest language. I used the firm to vet an important contract, since it all seemed very confusing to me. They made it NOT confusing. And also flagged a few items that I needed to address. Had I not used Wards, I fear what the outcome might have likely been. They provided great legal advice - and peace of mind.

Do not waste your money. Alex McLeod did absolutely nothing for my son, but more for the opposition. And when we expressed our frustration via email, he immediately called and YELLED at me that I obviously don't know how the legal world works, was incredibly ignorant, and FIRED us (which i don't even think is legal) ! Right before court, no less. He's a misogynistic, unprofessional hothead.

As an update: the founder of this law firm ( the very same one i had emailed and asked for help as this was all playing out and was declined. ) has reached out to me via social media to threaten me with legal action unless I remove this review, or change it to reflect what HE would like it to say.
I would like to point out that nothing in my review is false, facts are facts and the rest, a matter of my own opinion. And this kind of strong arming former clients (I paid $1750 for them to make our situation exponentially worse) after intentionally causing harm, is indicative of the kind of firm this is.
