Sent over a collection account for around $10K. Nice people but they gave up after 2 weeks.

Went elsewhere and the other firm successfully collected the full balance within a month.

Good experience with this firm. Had a debt for a month past a net-30 and contacted Unik. They collected my debt within 3 days of them contacting the debtor. I’m impressed with their service and will continue to use them for years to come.

I was trying to pay off a debt from 2019 instead of allowing my account to fall of my report. I have cleared several things from collections recently due to mistakes I made when I was 18 years old. When I called the receptionist (?) was helpful and spoke with kindness, she directed my call over to Daniel who was the agent handling my account, Daniel was extremely rude despite the fact I entered the call with and calm and kind demeanor. Eric, the supervisor was of no help either. I worked at a call centre for a long period of time and this call was of such low standard and dehumanizing, I would recommend anyone attempting to clear their debt to just go right to the original company that Unik bought the account from and try going through them. If you want to be spoken to like a human being and listened to without being belittled or having snide remarks made, DO NOT call this company the treatment from them is not worth the trouble. They are terrible!

I called the company I originally owed the money to after this awful experience and they advised me that what I owed was SIGNIFICANTLY less than what this company had told me and persisted I had to pay, I'm talking over $500 less than what Unik is reporting. I can't stress this enough, DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY CALL THE ORIGINAL COMPANY!!!

In response to the comment a member of the company replied with (I’m assuming most likely Eric) assuming I’m not a client because I don’t use my full name on my account and calling me a liar really shows your lack of professionalism. What would I gain from sharing my experience with a collections company and letting the world know I’m dealing with accounts in collections if it was not accurate? Hopefully nobody experiences what I dealt with, and they refer to the original company the owe debt to. The fact your response is this instead of trying to resolve the issue, shows your lack of customer service skills and again, lack of professionalism. This reply tells me you know exactly who I am as I was sure to call you guys and let you know that the original company will let you know when the debt is paid because you purchased my account that was in collections, I also informed you that the debt your company reported was higher than the original debt. NRTC communications (the original company I’ve referred to) also agreed that over 500$ is in fact a “crazy amount of interest” instead of telling me that it is not a crazy amount and then continuing to interrupt me and treat me rudely like Daniel did earlier. Hopefully that helps ring some bells since I’m “not one of your clients”. Im glad you responded in this manor so others can clearly understand why I posted my review in the first place. I would’ve happily resolved this issue one on one, but I was argued with, interrupted and unable to finish a sentence, despite speaking very calmly and just asking for understanding of what I was trying to communicate with your staff members.

Paid them $150 to open a file and begin collecting. Collected absolutely nothing.
Heard nothing from them.
I had to initiate a conversation about 6 months after starting the file. Which they told me, "uh, this file is old and it's going to be a challenge "
Not a dime to date.
A year later they told me they needed $600 more to keep trying.

Would not waste my money here again.
If I could give less than one star I would.
