I had a great experience working with Dean. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to clearly explain all of my insurance options. He made the whole process smooth and easy, and I really appreciated how patient and responsive he was to all my questions. I felt confident that he was looking out for my best interests. Absolute horrible service. I requested an insurance policy quote on their website for home insurance well over a week ago. I never heard back. I made a second request again online for a quote three days ago and also heard nothing. No response. I then telephoned their Barry’s Bay office to follow-up and inquire why I haven’t heard back. After being disconnected, I immediately called back and the receptionist said the request for a quote is sent to Belleville, and “whoever decides” to pick up the quote request there will call which they never did. If this is how they respond for a quote requesting possible new business, how would they respond, if at all, to a call to help with an insurance claim? I definitely don’t have any confidence that I would be in very good hands with this failed insurance broker. Very pathetic and extremely unprofessional business with an obviously unresponsive and poor work ethic . . . Bob T. - Barry’s Bay.

Hi - I have been with McDougall Insurance for many years. Their big point of differentiation is in personalized communication! This is a big deal in todays environment of pressing buttons when prompted on a telephone and creates so much stress. But with Ashlyn there is zero stress! Zero stress because you can call or email and Ashlyn consistently responds promptly and professionally. I am so very happy with the service I receive! Finally, Ashlyn's email and phone calls are very detailed so you don't have to waste time asking questions that could have been answered in one email! Ten out of Ten!!! Thank you Ashlyn Z!!!

We are so grateful to Dean Coulter at McDougall Insurance in Bancroft. When our former home insurance provider (Aviva) decided to not cover us for home renovations we were thrown into a panic. Dean quickly offered us insurance as well as reassurance that we were not alone and others have been treated by other companies . His calm manner and professionalism as well as dedication by working overtime really impressed us. We would highly recommend him and this company.

I have worked with many brokers over the years and Dean is the best. He is genuinely friendly and quick to respond and get back with excellent rates on car and home insurance. I could not believe the rate he got my daughter (a new driver). I have never seen a rate so far below other quotes - for the same policy! Insurance is not usually something I am thrilled about, but it pays to consult with someone who knows the industry so well.
