I definitely would say do your research first. We did not and had an unfortunate dealing with this gentleman. After I did look into him once our dealings started falling apart did I realize the large mistake I made. My husband and I were buying a home and had a very small window to do so. When contracting Ron he indicated he could bring us all the way through no concerns. We had little trust in this man but had to because of the circumstance. Ron ran our title search, billed us 300$ and then came to our home 1.5 hours late because he had made dinner plans and also had to run home due to forgetting our file. He had to come explain to us the title search because he made it seem like something was amiss over the phone. When he came to show us he then said, oh its nothing. Once this meeting was completed, all of 15 minutes, he left abruptly. I can't say I was nice to the guy because I can't respect someone who calls at the time of the meeting to say they will be late. After that we were in the final steps of our mortgage loan process and my bank calls to let me know that this man Ron Loder is an unapproved lawyer. So they couldn't give him any more of our financials or bank documents. Ron called and I asked him about it, he says oh, they have a list? I did not think that bank would have that.. Indicating, he knew all along he could never fully represent us if he was caught because I am assuming he lost his license. I asked for our money back and he said no because he was charging for his 1 hour of time with us. Which he did not give us at all. We were put into one of the most stressful situations and out even more money because almost every lawyer said they had to redo the search/charged more because of time constraints. This process should have been a joyful one since we are first time home buyers. Bottom line, we do not recommend Ron.
