What do we as citizens have to do to get speed bumps or stop signs installed on Shaw Valley Drive here in town. There's been several complaints and nothing ever happens to stop these idiots from driving 70 or 80km on a residential street. Looks like a child or elderly person will have to be struck and killed before we get any action from this city. Totally ridiculous.

There are a lot of things I really like about this city but one recent change, the hanging of speakers along Talbot Street to blast music 24/7 in order to deter the homeless, has me absolutely boogled by the decision making this city takes part in. Instead of zoning for single family homes, how about new build low income homes?

SPECIFICALLY AMANDA IN PARKING BYLAWS. She went above and beyond for our parking issue. Husband went to 'give in' and paid 150 to use parking lot behind indwell, mostly weekends cause working overnights. I was surprised to learn not what was quoted but 63. (Sombody told story) she asked for address and was surprised when we told her we asked abt and was told no to having overnight parking pass because of address. (There are 3 of us who have no building parking. ) she put forth a request, which is a first for us in 3 years. Thank you, Amanda. The next issue is that'ticket hound' seems to target specific vehicles and leaves others alone for days, and one specifically has nice chatty conversations with them.

I came to St. thomas from London to get a haircut and get some food. I drove in the back way. And parked in a municipal parking lot ? 5:00pm
I received a 35 ticket for parking . I guess it was a tenant's parking spot . Total victim, less issue.

They should maybe put tenant parking only . But the put no parking 8am to 12 am and 12am to 8am ? As a matter of fact, I saw the green p
I obviously did not see that I could not park behind the business I was there for .

I returned to city hall the 8:30am the following morning . I talked with 2 ladies, Sarah and Kevin. All they wanted was the money . Kevin also said it was my own fault for parking there. It was MY MISTAKE. " I replied it was my mistake !
but it wasn't for parking ,
it was for coming to Saint Thomas. LESSON LEARNED !!!

I also inquired at the signage, restrooms, not for the public. I was told that too many homeless people use them.

I am so done shopping there.
Reminds me of Toronto, and we NEVER go back to Toronto.
I guess they will lose out on a couple of grand a month .

First time visiting a city council meeting. There were a couple times I wanted to speak out but I remained quiet. Very polite meeting.

Fixing the homeless issue that plagues downtown St. Thomas people/businesses? no no no... Adding stupid pointless statues to literally every single roundabout in town for no apparent reason at all? Yes, now that's the St. Thomas city hall guarantee! I mean seriously though, stop building damn statutes in the middle of every roundabout you get your hands on!

Also on another note I love the power trip the employee we had to deal with here went on for literally no reason.

Was here working for a few hours and not ONE TRAIN WAS SPOTTED. My coworker and I were extremely sad. The train capital of Canada and not a single "choo choo" was even heard.
