I had hired Sujith Sutharsan to represent me in Kitchener Court during COVID-19. We set up an initial consultation and I signed a retainer for his services. What proceeded after was nothing more than trying to force me to take a bad deal which did not benefit me. I was being charged to pay restitution for property damage that was clearly an attempt by the other party involved to enrich themselves. I had explained this in detail to Sujith but he kept intimidating me to take the deal or he would drop me. Eventually he did drop me right before a court appearance with no warning. I explained to the judge during that appearance and the judge had said Sujith did not even file the correct paperwork to drop me as a client. The judge belittled him in his state of absentia for being unprofessional and sympathized for causing stress and anxiety for me. I had to self represent myself since no lawyer would take my case having been so far into the case. At pretrial I explained my position showing evidence the other party was trying to unjustly enrich themselves and the crown attorney and judge dropped the restitution amount. The crown attorney was surprised that Sujith never communicated properly the evidence that I had entrusted him with during the pretrial. I had gotten an even favorable deal than that which Sujith had proposed leading me to wonder if he was acting in my best interest at all.

Do not be misled by these 5 star generic reviews which read off as fake. If I had Self represented I would have saved the money I paid for the retainer. Sujith will gladly take your money and if he feels he will not win the case he will drop you as a client during a stressful time. I should have lodged a complaint at the Law Society for the negligent way my case was handled by Sujith. Do your due diligence and never settle for a third rate lawyer like Sujith sutharsan.
