I've never had any issues with this hospital other than the ER not always being open, but I don't fault them for that. It's tough to find one in Huron County that is open 24hrs.
When Seaforth is open, the staff are very friendly and helpful. I've been to the ER a few times and the longest I've ever been here was 2 hrs, in, waiting, being seen, etc. and out.
Try here before Stratford or Goderich.

I have to say I diffenetly witness in the last 3 most how our medical system has failed us badly, and doctors just don't care anymore about patients. This hospital was the worse. Sadly I believe they send the left over doctors there that aren't wanted anywhere else.
My mother in law was in there for 3 weeks thinking it was because of her with sciatica. She couldn't walk, take care of her personal hygien. Was sent to Stratford for tests came back filled her up with pills of all kinds for pain. They were pushing her to walk, not helping her sit up in bed so she could try and get to her commode, she was asking for someone for over half hour finally a young man showed up pulled her up and she couldn't hold it in because of the pressure when standing up. Needless to say "big mess" everywhere on her and the floor. Talk about losing your "dignity" they kept telling her she needs to make a effort and pull herself up in bed which she was trying her hardest but ended up pulling her rotator cuff in her shoulder by doing so. Here we go again more pain. Spoke to a so called doctor by the name of Morgan the worst experience I had talking to a doctor. She pretty well said it was all in my mother in laws head that she was in pain that much and not willing to walk or take care of herself the way THEY expected her to.
I spent almost everyday in there for hours the last week of her stay in that hospital. Absolutely disgusting and NO compassion at all. Animals get treated better.
Well bottom end of this journey my mother in law passed away Dec 11,2024 at age 77. She was full of cancer in the SPINE,lymph nods, lungs and going in the brain.
PS:
People you really need to start taking care of yourself and fight back to get results from test and proper diagnosis.
Don't let them just fill you with their medicated candies. When talking with them they never know what is wrong you but sure know what pills to give you. "Now a days it's all about how much money they make off patients"
I am sooo disgusted with our system and doctors it makes me sick to my stomach.
Good luck to everyone who comes to this Hospital. Oh and trying to get out of there once in there is also a big issue. It's a jail!!

Not happy with the service especially with the doctor waited 2.5hrs. from registration until seeing him which he spent a good 5-10mins. didn't seem to care if we're done or not, he just left.I supposed to get a note from him to show to my employer but I need to wait until his done with the other patient. The nurse suggested to come back another day or wait coz it will take longer from him to remove the cast from other patient.Im please and felt the care of the person who took me from the room and did my xray she's excellent.

I have been to this hospital a handful of times in the last couple of months. The wait time and care was excellent however as many hospitals that this applies to you may be stuck waiting a bit longer in mid afternoon but still I was in and out in under 3 hours( full waiting room that day.)
I have had quite pleasant experiences with a number of the doctors at this emerge. Especially Dr Gamal, Dr Percival & Dr Dalcin
Considering the state of our healthcare system Seaforth hospital has done a fantastic job of delegating and prioritizing care within there means.

It is not emergency. It is norushgency. Sit and wait, with 7 month sick and tired baby, 2 hours and look at them how they walk there and back. It is not adult person that can wait as long as necessary. He start scream and cry. Because he already cant stand it anymore. But no one cares.
"5 stars" for canadian emergency system
