Applying for Permanent Residence for my wife was an extremely daunting process, and other law firms I had contacted refused to explain what the total cost of the process was likely to be. When I got in touch with CILF, they were able to break down how much I'd have to pay and when I'd have to pay it, and that way I was able to plan ahead and make sure I could afford it despite not being in the income bracket that usually hires lawyers. We chose the firm purely based on this interaction, and it was a great decision. Beatrice & Barbara were extremely courteous, open and helpful throughout the entire application process and made everything go smoothly for us. You know when you talk to someone that you can close your eyes and trust them- Joel is that gem. After several mistakes in picking the right attorney, we got Mr Guberman's law firm as a strong referral from a family friend. Ms Fei, our case manger and Joel did a wonderful job clearing all the intricacies of our investment visa application in US. At a time when my previous lawyer left us aloof, Joel helped us out and was available to talk to us. Albeit our complex immigration situation, he was available with all the answers in just 2 days over the phone.

This was the third lawyer/ consultant I have used for my PR and without question the best. I approached Barbara Jo Caruso after being recommended to her by Nicholas Keung from the Toronto Star. I asked her (and others) by email for a price for mandamus for my PR application. All other lawyers would not give me a price upfront without a consultation that I would have to pay for. My emails were brief but to the point. Barbara got back to me very quickly and gave me a broken down price for what I needed. She was open and honest (other lawyers could learn a lot from her) I hired her and her team did exactly what she said they would, in the time stated and for the price stated. I could not be happier with the experience I received. I have my PR now and am very grateful for everything Barbara and her team did for me. I'd leave 100 stars if I could.
