A little dated but Great Clean rooms, warm when you come in from the cold. Not a lot of places keep the rooms warm, best western rooms are freezing when you get in from a cold day of working outdoors in the winter and then you wait forever for them to heat up. Slave Lake Inn and Conference Centre rooms are always a comfortable temperature.

Nice comfortable furniture in the lobby, beer and liquor offsales, free breakfast with a voucher from the front desk.

Parking lot is in DESPERATE need of re-paving. But not that noticeable in winter. Front desk staff super friendly and helpful.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and loved the convenient location

Hotel has gone downhill considerably since the Sawridge Band sold it. The manager at the front desk doesn't care that the rooms are so hot, that you can't breathe. He says, open the windows. Do that and breathe in all the pollution coming from old wood smoke, diesel, and soot!! Very frustrating. The boiler system is obviously in need of repair, as are the carpets in the hallways. The bathrooms show signs of unprofessional repair and old fixtures. Won't stay here again.

Great Place to Stay! It’s been 4 months for me coming to this hotel. Never had any problems. Great staff and Great customer service! I will definitely recommend to everyone coming to visit Slave lake whether it’s for business or travelling!

I like this hotel. I had a quite dated room in the back of the building. It seems like some rooms of the hotel is renovated and others aren’t. The room was clean though - so for me that’s all that matters. The breakfast spread is the best you can get in a hotel in slave. The staff are friendly and the building is very secure. The green spaces of the hotel are also nice.

If the holiday inn is out of your budget this is the best spot to stay in slave out of the other options. At least in my opinion, and I’ve stayed at them all.

I went to check in there about 2 hours ago on November 19, 2024 with my 2 sons aged 10 and 12. The man behind the front desk asked me for my ID and credit card which I gave to him and then told me I wouldn’t be able to stay there unless I showed government issued ID for my 2 boys. I honestly thought he was joking at first. He started asking me for their passports. I told him we lived in Alberta and were only travelling in Alberta and that I wouldn’t have a reason for passports. We stay in hotels all over Alberta when my boys are playing in baseball tournaments and I have never been asked to show ID for them. We left there and checked in at the Lakeview Hotel instead. I’m only giving 1 star because zero is not an option. Absolutely will never stay at this hotel and I do not recommend.

Area is full of drinkers and drug users so be advised.

Room door wouldn’t even open, they had to move me rooms. This ordeal took almost an hour and was a very irritating experience after driving for 12 hours. The manager or assistance manager was very helpful though.

Nice and clean rooms for a decent price. Breakfast is a decent for a hotel. Service is friendly and always willing to help you. Access is good, close to the highway. They could fix the parking lot, because there are a number of big holes in the asphalt. So be careful when you drive in.
