After being pulled over for an IRS I immediately started researching lawyers online. I left a very early morning message for Gunn Law group and received a prompt email and text message offering a time to set up a phone call. My initial contact was with lawyer Brendan Thompson. Brendan spent over an hour on the phone with me answering all my questions explaining the process and fees and provided information on all the Lawyers with the Gunn group and their specific area of expertise. Brendan was kind, patient and didn’t rush me. He immediately put me at ease during what was the most stressful occurrence of my life. He provided a link to a series of podcasts on the IRS and SafeRoads program led by Shannon Gunn Emery. These podcasts are extremely well done and would certainly help anyone who plans to appeal their IRS on their own.

I decided to move ahead with retaining Shannon Gunn Emery. Shannon was amazing to work with. She contacted me the same day and began working on my behalf. She maintained regular contact and communicated everything clearly and honestly. Daryl was also involved in managing the file and was amazing and communicating with me and staying on top of everything
Within eight business days, Shannon had a review scheduled and arrived to the hearing extremely prepared. She did a fantastic job!
I felt whether I was successful in having the IRS withdrawn or not I was extremely impressed with her skill, professionalism, and compassion. Shannon was successful in having my IRS cancelled.

I was in an accident that left me unconscious. The following day I was shocked to wake up alone in a hospital with needles in my arms and IRS papers sitting on my bedside table. I had no understanding of what the document was or why they were left there. Searching for information online, I found Gunn Law. I started reading the information they provide and listened to some of Shannon’s podcasts at no cost. After, I made an inquiry and within minutes Shannon called me. She helped me get started with Barbara.

They advertise on the radio that they can help you with family law and that made me think they wanted my business. When I phoned to hire them, the lawyer that called me back told me she didn’t have time to take my case and I that should file the forms in court myself, but I should consult a lawyer at legal aid before I submit the forms. Not very sensible to advise me that when I don’t qualify for legal aid, which I told the lawyer at least five times during our conversation. Don’t waste your time with this firm. They will waste your time!

Update to Gunn Law reply. No, your family lawyer did not help at all. Also, since this was in July and we are now in October and I heard the same add on the radio a few days ago, I suggest you change your add and remove the family part of your advertisement, since it’s false.

I thought our case wasn't worth fighting for until I met with Brendan. He gave me confidence by listening to our story and walking us through our options. He gave us all the time we needed, and we never felt rushed. It was a great experience for our first encounter with a lawyer.

Also, thank you Shannon for making the 'Legal Eyes' Podcast that Brendan forwarded to me. Your 'How to Run (and Hopefully Win) Your IRS' episode gave me a good understanding of what can be contested. Initially, I still wasn't 100% sure, but after listening to the whole episode, I decided it was worthwhile to appeal our NAP and retain Brendan for the job.
