Went for the Halloween thingy. Kids loved it. Free drinks, candy, etc. haunted house. Kids had so much fun n I didn’t spend a dime! Thank you 🙏🏾

Ok ghost hunt area kinda spooky no artificial lighting in the sports field.

Still going with the idea that after hours this is still a great place for a ghost hunt why because it can’t invest in security lighting after hours in their sports field .

so people are welcome to reach out to me after dark and we can see what the area gives.
as well as you can see it is a reconditioned public school now being used by a non profit.

After getting assured I would get help through the prevention program, they called back saying I only needed to submit a letter I had already submitted, and a cheque would be made to my landlord. Got told to call back within a couple business days which I did. To which I got told the program was closed but they were for sure going to look into it. And got told by a couple people I would receive a callback, to which I never did.
Talked to a housing supervisor named Jocelyn, got told she would pull my file and look into it and get back to me the following day, about 2 weeks went by before I decided to call back again today(tried a couple times always got voicemail), to which I talked to her finally getting told , that she couldn’t find my file at all, &“if you didn’t get told you were getting help, you’re probably not getting it” which I did get told I was, I waited 3 hours in office to see someone, and go over my applicatIon, got assured I would get help. Then waited almost 3 weeks for someone to get back to me just to tell me they can’t find anything, and they weren’t going to do anything about it. Very unprofessional in all aspects regarding the program, and the “help” I received from the housing department. All that waiting for that, despite getting assured I was getting help.

Contrary to their reply, I came in when Lisa told me to come in, AND FILLED OUT THE PAPER WORK HER AND HER ASSISTANT.
And how did you guys see my application when I was told by Jocelyn that my file couldn’t be found at all thus she couldn’t help me?

Called and left a voicemail to Destiny 5 days ago; no follow up phone call or any response for that matter. As an Indigenous individual, I am appalled that help is only given if you carry a registration number. I have mine but my children are in the process of getting theirs. My daughters particular situation has been quite difficult and to have her turned away from getting any help because she doesn't have her status card yet, is very upsetting. Having a 17 year old girl turned away from any assistance because of the difficulties in attaining a status number just shows the low level of empathy or compassion that this organization has towards the future generation of Indigenous people. A child with no addictions to alcohol or drugs being treated like an adolescent with hard drug addiction is being turned away from help just because they're difficult to get in touch with. Imagine that, being ignored just because of this. There has to be more intervention from the government to straighten out these organizations. Just sad. My review will stand as it is until there are a better means communication from Bent Arrow. Something has to be done

Edit: Managed to get through to someone. Telephone lines were down for a while. I was offered plenty of programs to help me rebuild my relationship with my child. From a 1 star to 3 stars. I still haven't quite got what I needed but I will have to find another route, I suppose

Called her to gather some info on the organization and programs, was nothing but a great experience. The lovely receptionist Brooklyn was super knowledgeable on all the resources, as well as super compassionate to my circumstances. Highly recommend!
