If I could give no stars I would, it was not a good experience. I was doing a job search at home on my computer on Indeed, Workopolis and the like. I felt like some help would be nice. Walked down to the employment center on Duckworth. I had to knock and wait to be let in. Six or eight staff were all having coffee and a laugh around a boardroom table. Ok, it was near noon, maybe they were on a break.
One fellow was in the place using the computer. 8 to 1 ratio, more staff than clients, couldn't help but notice. The job board had a dozen or so jobs and a list of places to search for work, Indeed and Workopolis, the same things I had been looking at.
I thought that one of those people having coffee might have time to print out the jobs and put them on the board. That's their job right?
I suppose the employment center has met its objectives, those 8 people all have jobs, but I don't. Ironic but not helpful.
